Wembury Beach, Warren Point Circular
Yealm Estuary
If you, like me, love estuaries - this walk is for you! There is a car park near Wembury beach, but if you don’t mind the amble, you could park up in Wembury village for free and then stroll down. I ventured on this walk on the first bank holiday Monday in May, so, as you can imagine, Wembury beach looked quite busy. Naturally preferring quiet places, I skipped the beach and headed straight for Warren point. There, Gus and I enjoyed a clamber along the pebbly waters edge, rolled out our picnic blanket on sun warmed stones ,and enjoyed a quiet half hour to ourselves watching the watery world pass by along the Yealm before mooching back up the hill to Wembury. I suppose, if the ferry is up and running, you could pop across the river to Newton Ferrers or Noss Mayo for a bite to eat.
