Bringing women together in nature
Join one of our monthly Social Strolls
Walk • Talk • Explore
Every now and again we host free community walks.
Our walks are all about friendly conversation, fresh air, and women supporting and uplifting each other along the way. Whether you’re new to walking, new to the area, or just new to putting yourself out there - we’d love for you to join us!
There’s always baked goods, a flask of something warm and great company.

Feature series for National Walking Month and Mental Health Awareness Week this May!
The Coastal Cure Series
A dose of sea air, tidal landscapes, and good company.
May is National Walking Month - a celebration of the simple, yet profound act of walking, and the powerful impact it can have on our physical health, mental wellbeing, and connection to the world around us.
To mark the month we’ve created The Coastal Cure Series - a collection of four walks over four weeks in May along the South West Coast Path.
At Heartlands and Wild Edges, we are passionate about the benefits of blue health - the restorative power that watery landscapes have on our wellbeing. Informed by the science and research from women such as Dr Catherine Kelly (Blue Spaces: How and Why Water Can Make You Feel Better) and Easkey Britton (Ebb & Fow: Connect with the Patterns and Power of Water) on the links between water and wellbeing, these walks have been designed as a natural invitation to slow down, breathe in the salt air, find a sense of calm and connect with the natural world…who knows, you might even enjoy a dip along the way!
From sunset strolls and picnic walks, to golden hour cliff-top wanders, join us as we explore the transformative impact the South West coast can have on our health.
They are free to join with the option to donate in support of the Every Mile Matters campaign by the South West Coast Path Association- helping to protect, maintain, and celebrate this incredible trail for everyone.
Caring for the places we walk
Social Strolls are free to attend and open to all women who’d like to join.
If you would like to give something back, we’re raising funds for the South West Coast Path Association’s Every Mile Matters campaign – helping to care for and protect the beautiful coastal paths we’re so lucky to walk.
We’re aiming to raise £1700 this year - which is how much it costs to care for a single mile of the SWCP each year.
There’s absolutely no expectation to donate - feel free to just come along and enjoy the walk.
