A Women’s Coastal Pilgrimage

“I walk in the world to love it.” - Mary Oliver

Four days and three nights walking and camping the wild edges of Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula — a journey of sea, sky, and self.

Step away from the familiar and traverse the edge between land and sea on a journey just as much about exploring your wilderness within as the wilderness without.

These pilgrimages are both adventure and homecoming —a place to meet yourself in the vastness of nature and the quiet strength of supportive community.

“walk slowly, and bow often”

- Mary Oliver

Everything you need to know

  • More than a hiking trip, it’s a gentle pilgrimage — time to strip back to what’s essential, to carry only what you need, and to walk in step with the tides and your own breath.

Each woman follows her own path, yet we journey together: sharing the road, the sea, the laughter, and the stillness. Between cliffs and coves, where the sea shapes the land, we too can allow the water and wind to soften our edges — finding balance between challenge and ease, independence and connection.

“Not all who wander are lost.” - J.R.R. Tolkien

  • Over four days we’ll follow a section of the South West Coast Path, walking between 6–8 miles a day. We’ll carry what we need, camp close to the sea, and live simply.

Our meeting point will be in the centre of Helston (where there are long stay car parks) and we will travel together to our starting point on the coast path. You will be dropped off at our meeting point in Helston centre at the end of our walk.

    Each day will weave together:

    • Walking & exploration of the Lizard Peninsula’s wild coastline

    • Moments of rest and reflection — journaling, poetry, time alone

    • Guided breathwork and nature connection practices

    • Wild swimming in coves and tidal pools

    • Folklore and local stories

    • Shared meals and stories under the stars

It’s a journey of both movement and stillness — balancing the call of adventure with space to reconnect and restore.

We are purposely not covering great milage every day - as this is much more about the journey than where we are going and how fast we can get there.

  • You will be provided with a backpack containing most of the lightweight essentials you’ll need for camping (tent, sleep mat, pillow, bowl, mug, head torch etc). All you’ll need to bring is your clothes, a three season sleeping bag and a few other items which will be listed in the comprehensive packing guide I will share with you once you book.

    Included:

    • Professional guiding and support for four days

    • Lightweight backpack containing camping essentials

    • Simple breakfast and supper which we will carry * (we will buy our own lunch each day from local eateries along the coast path - eg pasty, sandwich etc)

    • Guided sessions in breathwork, poetry, and nature connection

    • Group facilitation and space-holding throughout

    • All campsite and route logistics

    You’ll bring:

    • Your own sleeping bag and clothing

    • Comfortable walking shoes and a few other items I’ll in include in your comprehensive packing guide

    • A sense of curiosity and openness

    * Maximum group size: 7 women — small enough for connection, strong enough for shared adventure.

*As we will be carrying our own food for four days, certain food is selected that carries well and minimises weight. Food will be simple and healthy with lots of healthy snacks also.

  • This offering is for women who feel the pull of the sea — those who crave time outdoors, space to breathe, and the supportive company of others walking a similar path.

You don’t need to be an experienced hiker. Just a willingness to meet the elements, carry your own pack, and trust that nature — and your own strength — will meet you there.

    It’s for the woman seeking:

    • Confidence through experience

    • Belonging through shared journeying

    • Reconnection through the wild

  • This is a journey that will ask something of you.

The path can be steep and uneven, your feet will tire, your pack will feel heavier some days than others, the weather may turn and you’ll be asked to meet the elements. The coast demands your full presence and she invites you to find a strength you didn’t know you had.

Challenge is part of the pilgrimage. It’s in the climb, the breath, the ache — and the quiet joy that follows. Each step is an invitation to meet yourself more fully, to remember that you are capable, resilient, and alive in the elements.

Through shared effort and encouragement, we walk not to prove anything, but to rediscover trust in our bodies, in nature, and in one another.

“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.” - John Muir

If you cancel within six weeks of the walk and there is a waiting list, I may transfer your booking to another date. This will be at my discretion.

Upcoming Dates

  • Walking with Wildflowers

    Thurs 14th - Sun 17th May - £445

Pinks of sea thrift and white sea campion cluster along the path, and gorse fills the air with its coconut scent. The first swallows skim low over the fields, and choughs call from the headlands. Bluebells linger in the sheltered lanes, and the grasses sway with the softness of early warmth. The coast feels bright, alive, and full of promise — wildflowers at their peak before the summer deepens.

*To secure you place, a deposit of £150 is required upon booking. The remainder of the funds will be required up to six weeks before the walk.

  • Summer Solstice

    Fri 19th - Mon 22th June - £445

By June, the land is settling into early summer. Foxgloves rise in tall purple towers, the thrift begins to fade, and meadows hum with bees. Sea kale and campion edge the cliffs, and the air carries salt and warmth. Butterflies flicker over the path, and skylarks sing almost constantly above the fields. The sea turns a clearer, deeper blue, and the whole peninsula feels more open, more languid — the wildness softer now, but still full of life.

*To secure you place, a deposit of £150 is required upon booking. The remainder of the funds will be required up to six weeks before the walk.

Meet your guide, Camille

In the late summer of 2023, during a period of large transition in my life, I set out on a pilgrimage of my own to walk the length of the South West Coast Path.

I was blessed to share the journey with another at the time, and I feel incredibly privileged to share this next journey with you.

I am often asked what I remember most about my time walking, and for me, it was the small acts of kindness from strangers - like the gift of a scented dryer sheet so my clothes could smell less like damp camping for a short while or the offer of a sofa bed on an especially miserable night.

Guiding with care and kindness lay the foundation for these walking pilgrimages.

“The sea can do craziness, it can do smooth, it can lie down like silk breathing or toss havoc shoreward; it can give gifts or withhold all; it can rise, ebb, froth like an incoming frenzy of fountains, or it can sweet-talk entirely. As I can too, and so, no doubt, can you, and you.”
