The Art of Tracking and Signs - a walk in Lower Moor Nature Reserve

In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.
— John Muir

Can you guess which animal the footprint above belongs to?

Join Steph and Camille for a guided walk through the beautiful Lower Moor Nature Reserve, learning how to read the landscape for signs of the wildlife that call this nature reserve home.

We’ll look for evidence of otters, badgers, deer, birds, and other creatures, while also learning about the trees, plants, and subtle clues that reveal their presence.

As we wander, we will find and discuss examples of tracks and signs (feeding signs, homes, droppings etc.), leaving you with a solid introduction to the ancient art of tracking.

This relaxed, circular walk is mostly flat with a gentle incline in one section. Please bring wellies and warm, weather-appropriate clothing. We’ll end our walk at the Dragonfly Cafe.

No prior knowledge is needed — just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a love of wildlife.
