Crazywell Pool, Dartmoor
Crazywell Pool
We enjoyed this route on one of our Social Strolls during a heatwave week in May! We set off early(ish) at 8am enjoying expansive views of Burrator reservoir every time we turned and looked back for a rest up the hill. The ascent is not too steep though and definitely worth it for the refreshing dip at the top! The water was surprisingly warm and we were in no rush to head back to the car after our swim. Pack yourself a flask and a snack to enjoy at the edge of the water.
Little Tip: If I walked this route again, I would perhaps reverse it, starting with the incline up the woodland so that you could enjoy the view more on the way down.
