Kingston Circular
Lovely Laura
My friend Laura and I set off on this walk on the 9th of April and it just so happened that the bluebells in Wrinkle Wood were in full bloom! They were an unexpected spring treat and we couldn’t quite believe we found a walk to the beach which also included a bluebell wood! It was a sunny day and the gorse was in full bloom and filled the air with clouds of honeyed coconut. Keep and eye out for Bigbury and Burgh Island as you head along the coast path towards Westcombe Beach, and make sure you pause for moment and enjoy the view from the granite bench!
There are two swim spots on this walk at Wonwell Beach and at Westcombe Beach. It the tide it out, it can be a bit tricky swimming at Westcombe, but you can dip between the rocks. You can extend the walk to Ayrmer Cove for a better swim and follow the foot path back via Ringmore if you have the energy.
