LIGHT OF HEART
A women’s seaside walking, swimming and nature connection retreat in the Cornish village of St Agnes
creating space for laughter, community, and a return to what truly matters
Friday 1st - Monday 4th May 2026
Join us this spring in the wild beauty of St Agnes, Cornwall, for a weekend of gentle adventure, heartful connection, and soul nourishment.
Immerse yourself in the kind of company that lets you breathe a little deeper.
Together, we'll walk the coastal paths, swim in salty waters, and open ourselves to the lightness and joy that this season brings.
Through simple nature connection practices, shared meals, and a balance of moments of play and stillness, we'll reconnect with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
Whether you come to reset, to reflect, or simply to be held in good company — you are warmly welcome.
Come as you are. Let yourself be held by the land, the sea, and the gentle rhythm of spring returning. Leave with your heart a little lighter.
“There is a quiet light that shines in every heart. It draws no attention to itself though it is always secretly there. It is what illuminates our minds to see beauty, our desire to seek possibility and our hearts to love life. Without this subtle quickening our days would be empty and wearisome, and no horizon would ever awaken our longing. Our passion for life is quietly sustained from somewhere in us that is wedded to the energy and excitement of life. This shy inner light is what enables us to recognise and receive our very presence here as blessing.” - John O’donohue
This retreat might be for you if:
You’re ready to step away from the busyness and noise of day to day life and remember what simplicity and ease feels like.
You want to spend time outdoors, letting the elements, supportive community and sea do their quiet work.
You sense it’s time to fill your cup again, gently and without rush.
You crave community with others who are also learning to soften, pause, and be present.
You’re craving a space where nothing is expected of you except to show up as you are.
You’d like to continue to develop your relationship with the natural world through walking outdoors and embracing the raw, rugged beauty of the Cornish North Coast.
Below you’ll find a guide to the nourishing experiences we’ll share together between plenty of down time.
Although participation is encouraged, please note that all offerings are optional and it is important to listen to your own body and emotional needs.
Invitations for inner and outer exploration
Guided coastal walks
You will need a moderate level of fitness for these walks. Although we will be walking gently and mindfully, the coast path includes steep descents and ascents in and out of coves. If you have any concerns about suitability, please reach out and we will happily talk you through it. Please note, walks may be subject to change depending on weather and tide times.
Saturday
St Agnes - Chapel Porth Circular via St Agnes Beacon
6.7miles, 3.5hrs approx walking time + breaks, total ascent: 1170ft
On Saturday morning, laden with flasks of warm tea and a packed lunch we’ll venture on a windswept coastal walk from St Agnes to Chapel Porth. Chapel Porth is a beautiful sandy beach with caves and rock pools to explore. There will also be an opportunity for a dip there.
We’ll return to our accommodation via St Agnes Beacon enjoying a panoramic view of north Cornwall.
Sunday
St Agnes - Holywell Bay via Perranporth (taxi back)
8.5 miles, 4.5hrs approx walking time + breaks, total ascent: 1769 ft
Just along the coast from St Agnes lies Holywell Bay — a wide, golden sweep of sand framed by rolling dunes and the twin Gull Rocks rising from the sea.
Tucked into the northern cliffs, there is a cave which gives the bay its name. Inside, mineral-rich water drips over terraced rock, creating bands of green, pink, and ochre. Long regarded as a place of healing and renewal, the well has an atmosphere of quiet reverence — a natural sanctuary shaped by time, tide, and stone.
We’ll catch a taxi back to our accommodation at the end of the walk.
Mindfulness and nature connection practices
During our walks, we’ll weave in simple practise to help you slow down and tune in to the natural world around you.
We’ll also practice small pockets of heart focused breathing during our time together, centering in the heart to cultivate connection and collective care.
Early morning swims
Start your morning with a bracing and energising dip at Trevaunance cove. Or, if you’re not a morning person - enjoy a cosy lie in!
Our Accommodation - Little Orchard Village

Meet your hosts Alice and Camille
St Agnes is a place close to both of our hearts. We have separately spent many summers, winters and in-between times here and cannot wait to share our favourite haunts with you! If there’s one thing we know for sure about St Agnes, it’s impossible to leave without a full heart.
Camille’s love of St Agnes has grown over the years she has spent housesitting there and caring for her feline friend, Onion who lives on its wild cliff tops.
Alice’s love for St Agnes began when her family started visiting when she was young. She now visits at least once a year with her dogs in tow.
“St Agnes feels like my spiritual home - when I come here, I just feel at peace with myself, something that can be difficult in our busy, pressured lives. I use St Agnes as my safe, calming space when I do meditative visualisations and it always brings me so much joy. There is something really special here, and I know that you’ll feel that too when you visit with us”.
