March Full Moon Night Walk — Avebury, Wiltshire
March’s full moon has a few names - the Worm Moon (when the ground begins to thaw and earthworms reappear), the Crow Moon (we hear more crows cawing as winter ends) and the Sap Moon (as sap begins to rise in the trees as spring approaches).
March’s full moon will also be a blood moon due to a lunar eclipse! A blood moon is the name for any full moon during a total lunar eclipse.
During the eclipse, Earth’s atmosphere filters sunlight and casts a reddish glow on the moon, making it look “blood-red.”
Join us for a magical night walk around Avebury, Wiltshire. We’ll gather before sunset, setting off on a mindful, moonlit walk through this ancient, spiritual landscape. This guided experience offers a chance to connect with nature, reflect quietly, and enjoy the energy of the full moon. Perfect for anyone seeking mindful walking, gentle adventure, and a sense of ritual in the outdoors.
The lunar eclipse will happen in the early hours of the morning (not during our walk).
